Hosted PBX or Onsite?
VoIP system options are virtually endless. Own the hardware, rent the hardware …. wish you had the hardware, there is very little that cannot be accomplished with IP telephony.
Small PBX systems the size of a video cassette onsite can manage many hundreds of extensions. A hosted system can be up and running within hours and connect to it from anywhere in the world.
The hosted PBX option like digivoip is ideally suited to the current environment, wherever there is internet you have a connection to the PBX and the rest of the work force. Pick up your phone and move it anywhere with no admin changes. Scalable from a one person office to a mulit site, global enterprise a hosted phone system can be configured in an almost infinite number of ways.
Either option is almost just personal preference, functionality is virtually the same. A hosted system lends itself to a remote work force or a mult-tenanted setting more easily - but that is not to say an on prem. cant be configured that way. Both options are well worth considering and can be tailored to suit almost any budget.
