The Digital Life

To VoIP or not to VoIP ... ?

It’s not really a question anymore, the NBN is seeing to that.

For the home user there is still always the mobile network, but a phone system is still a staple requirement for most businesses. That isn’t to say VoIP is not for the home user, if you like having a landline you can still have one. It will now just be over the internet instead of over the old phone lines. In most cases you probably wont be able to tell the difference.

Your old business phone system (PBX) could have been the size of a large filing cabinet and each building had it’s own PBX, now all this can be stuffed into a box no larger than a video cassette … (if you remember what they were?) and have features only dreamed of with the older systems - remote extensions, voicemail to email, call recording, conferencing rooms and much more.

VoIP has been around for quite a while, hardware is getting better and better, and they are packing more and more features into every box. Or you can even rent space on an online phone system..

Go VoIP, feel the tech!
